The Panjim Inn 

It is perhaps the best known of Panjim's heritage hotels in the Latin Quarters of Fountainhas. The original building is over 100 years old and have been renovated to add modern aminities including airconditioning without losing the old charm. Each of its 14 rooms are quite different in character with four poster beds, carved Almirahs, period furniture and original paintings . It is listed in the Lonely Planet guide as " by far the nicest hotel in this category". The vintage first floor verandahas been converted into a coffee shop famous for its distinctive cuisine.
Panjim Pousada located in the vicinity is another hotel of the same chain in an equally old Hindu house among the predominantly Catholic locality. The rooms are in 3 categories of basic, delux and suite. The tariff at both places varies with season ( off season, season & peak season) e.g. Rs 1170 for single occupancy in basic room to Rs 2340 for suite ( off season) to Rs 1800 for single occupancy in basic room to 4500 for suite ( in peak season.)
