PADI Discover Scuba Experience:
Try your first dive today !
If you have wondered
what its like to be underwater, this is a easy and fun way to
find out what scuba diving is really like! For both swimmers or non swimmers, this session is your first introduction to the underwater world.
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
This starts with a one hour session, with a short theory briefing followed by a pool dive to get used to being underwater. You learn some basic skills, get comfortable with the dive gear, and have fun cruising around underwater.
You will then get a taste of salt water and see fish, during your dive in the sea. You will be taken for your dive under the close, direct supervision of a dive instructor. We start at 07:30 am and finish by around 2:30 pm.
Charges:INR 3,500.00

Who can
enroll?
The only requirements are that you're able to swim, are in
good health, and of course you should
have an interest in diving. For safety, all students complete a brief
PADI Medical Statement that asks about medical conditions that could
be a problem while diving. If none of these apply, you sign the form
and you're ready to start. If any of these apply to you, your doctor
must assess the condition and sign a medical form that confirms that
you're fit to dive.
How long does
the program take?
The experience usually
takes a day, starting at the pool at 8:30 am and coming back to the
dive center after the dive by about 3:00 pm.
What does the Discover Scuba
program qualify you to do?
Completion of the Discover Scuba Diving program can be counted as
the first dive of the Open Water course.
What do I
learn?
Knowledge
Development
To make sure that you understand scuba safety we
will start with a safety briefing from your instructor or by
watching a short video.
Confined
Water Training
You'll
head to the pool right away to learn some basic skills that make your
dive safer, and more enjoyable. These are the skills that you
will learn:
Regulator
Clearing:You learn to take your regulator out of your mouth
and put it back in underwater.
Mask Clearing:
How to clear your mask if water gets inside.
Alternate Air
Source Use: How to share air with your dive buddy in the
case of an emergency.
These skills are the most important for your safety. Your pool session
also lets you get used to the scuba equipment and moving around
underwater. Once you are comfortable you head to the sea.
Open Water
Dive
This is what it's all about : the Open Water dive. Under the close
supervision of a professional instructor you'll complete your first
open water dive. This dive is exactly the same as the first dive on the
Open Water course and can be counted towards that certification as
such. You have the option of doing more than one dive as part of the
program.
